Level - Valtellina Superiore DOCG Valgella 2018 Barbacan
This label represents the pinnacle of Barbacan's production. We are in the Alps, between 500 and 600 meters of altitude, in a landscape of terraces supported by sandy soils, which give the wine verticality and rigor.
The blend is dominated by Chiavennasca (90%), the mountain Nebbiolo of Valtellina, complemented by 10% of native varieties such as Rossola, Chiavennaschino, and Pinola. The result is an austere, straightforward, and deeply territorial wine, more unadorned and introverted than Sòl, capable of slowly revealing itself and rewarding patience with depth, finesse, and authenticity. A severe and magnetic mountain red, which speaks the language of time.

On the nose we can note broom berries, blackberries, candied fruit, and flowers. A whirlwind of sensations emerge thanks to its aromaticity. |
