The Domaine Corentin Houillon is a French winery from Savoy, recognized for the quality of its natural wines. The producer says he has had experiences in the vineyard since he was a child, none other than at the Domaine of Pierre Overnoy in the Jura, taken over by his uncle Emmanuel, and by his aunt Adeline also a producer in Pupillin. Important experiences that had a decisive influence on his decision to become an oenologist studying in Beaune and Montpellier. Later, Corentin collaborated with some very important biodynamic companies such as Domaine Tissot in the Jura and Domnique Derain in Burgundy. He then traveled to the New World to broaden his experiences and finally began producing wine in Switzerland under his own name for La Ville de Morges. Corentin finally chose to settle in Chautagne, in Savoie, where he manages the 5 hectares of vineyards located on steep slopes that are the cradle of typical grape varieties of the region (Altesse, Jacquère, Pinot, Gamay and Mondeuse) and appear as a single block, all planted on "molasses soils" surrounded by woods and exposed to a mountain climate. He follows the principles of biodynamic agriculture, trying to express, through his wines, the most authentic terroir of this area of Savoie. Corentin Houillan works mainly with concrete tanks and barrels, giving the wines time and oxygen.
