Les Pichiaux 2023 Domaine Noëlla Morantin
Noëlla Morantin's Les Pichiaux 2023 comes from a single plot of approximately 35-year-old Sauvignon Blanc on clay-limestone soils in Pouillé, along the Cher river. Les Pichiaux is one of two single-plot Sauvignon parcels that Noëlla acquired, along with Chez Charles, when the Les Bois Lucas estate where she had worked downsized its holdings.
It is the most direct and recognizable Sauvignon in the range: fresh, fragrant, with all the mineral signature of the Touraine's limestone soils. As with all wines from the estate, the classification is Vin de France to avoid the constraints of the local AOC.
