...di Gino Rosso is Fattoria San Lorenzo's everyday red wine, the one Natalino serves without much thought when guests are over. It's not a wine for contemplation, but it embodies the same countryside and cellar philosophy as their more esteemed wines.

60% Montepulciano and 40% Sangiovese, the two most important red grapes of Marche, each with its own role: Montepulciano provides structure and fruity richness, while Sangiovese adds freshness and elegance. Natalino's most important choice for this wine is not to age it in wood; it's all stainless steel, from fermentation to aging. He wants the grapes to remain grapes, for the wine to be as direct as possible, without the mediation of oak. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, several weeks of maceration on the skins, then rest in tanks before bottling.

The result is an honest, juicy, and immediate red wine, full of fresh red fruit and light spices, with fine tannins and a drinkability that is its very raison d'être. Not a red to decant, but one of those you open and finish without noticing between conversations.

Vinificazione

Montepulciano and Sangiovese from particularly suitable parcels of the estate. Manual harvest, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel, several weeks of maceration on the skins. Aged in stainless steel, with no wood aging. Bottled unfined.

Profumo

A frank, fruity nose of cherry, fresh plum, violet and a spicy undertone. A young and immediate profile, with no woody mediation.

Gusto

Juicy and lean sip, with fine tannins and a fresh finish. Agile drink, wine for honest gastronomy. More Sangiovese than the percentage suggests, thanks to fermentation and aging only in steel.
