Chieto Chiaretto di Bardolino Classico DOC 2024 Tenuta la Cà
Chieto is the Chiaretto from Tenuta La Cà, and the name says it all: quiet, composed, elegant. Not a rosé crafted to please, but a wine born from the same vineyard as Dritto, from the same morainic soils of Calmasino, changing its profile only due to the technique with which the grapes are treated. Chiaretto di Bardolino has a history as long as that of the red wine: it is born on the same hills overlooking Lake Garda, with the same native Veronese grape varieties, and has always represented the brightest and most immediate version of this territory. Its lightness is not simplicity: it is the result of precise winemaking, capable of extracting from the fruit only what is needed to create a floral, savory, and vertical rosé, without weight and without artifice.

Vinificazione |
Separate vinification by grape variety using two distinct techniques: Corvina and Corvinone are loaded into the press, partly destemmed and partly not, with a short maceration in contact with the skins, separation of the musts, and only the free-run juice is used; Rondinella is loaded into a fermenter and the must is separated by saignée. Fermentation in steel tanks with indigenous yeasts until sugar depletion. Aged on lees for 6-7 months in steel. Bottling during the waning moon. |

The nose is fragrant and floral: wild red berries, white peach, raspberry, pink grapefruit, a touch of pomegranate, and spring flowers. |

On the palate it's fresh, citrusy and savory: light-bodied but far from thin, with lively acidity and a long, mineral finish. |
